Multi-user access lets you give each member of your team their own login to your partner portal. Each user is assigned a role that controls what they can see and do, and every loan records which team member started it.
Where to find it
Open the Admin drop-down in the portal header and select Users. Only Admins can see and manage this page.
The three roles
Every user has one of three fixed roles:
Admin: sees and acts on every loan, manages Settings, and manages your team's users.
Loan Officer: sees and acts only on the loans they originated.
Processor: sees every loan and can upload documents and open Loan Docs. A Processor cannot create loans, send a loan to the borrower, request or pay appraisals, add co-borrowers, or open Settings.
Roles are enforced by the system. If a user opens a bookmark or direct link to something their role does not allow, they are refused.
Add a user
Open Admin > Users.
Click Add User.
Enter the user's name, login email and phone, and choose their role.
Save. The user receives an email titled "You've been added to [Company]'s partner account on New Silver" with a link to the partner portal sign-in. The link does not expire.
Each login email must be unique across New Silver. If the email is already in use, you will see a message explaining why, and you will need to use a different email address for that user.
Change a user's role or details
Open Admin > Users.
Click the user's row.
Update their details or choose a new role, then save. If the change reduces their access (for example, Admin to Processor), you are asked to confirm first.
No email is sent to the user when their role, status or login email is changed.
Disable a user
Open Admin > Users and click the user's row.
Set their status to Disabled and save.
The user is signed out on their very next action and can no longer sign in. Their past loans stay on your account.
Re-enable a user
Open Admin > Users and click the disabled user's row.
Set their status back to Enabled and save.
They can sign in again straight away.
The primary admin
Every partner account has one primary admin. This is the person who registered your firm as a partner, and they are set up as the first Admin on the account.
The primary admin cannot be disabled or changed to another role. The same applies to an Admin who is the only enabled Admin on the account.
To disable or change either of them, first make another user an Admin.
How loans are tracked by user
Loan App Link: click Loan App Link in the portal header to see your own personal link. A borrower who applies through it is recorded as your borrower, and you are shown as the loan's originator. Share your own link so loans are attributed to you.
Partner Originator: the Loans and Servicing lists show a Partner Originator column that you can filter on. It shows which team member started each loan.
Changing a loan's originator: this is not available in the partner portal. If a loan needs a new originator, for example when a team member leaves, contact your New Silver Partner Manager.
Login Email vs Company Contact Email
A user's Login Email is what they sign in with. The Company Contact Email in Settings is your firm's address for invoices and partner notices. It is not a login. Notices about a specific loan, such as appraisal invoices, are also copied to the team member who originated that loan.
