Once you have created and priced a manual loan, submitting the file tells New Silver to move the loan forward toward the appraisal.
Submitting the file
In your Loans list, expand the loan and click Submit File (available when the loan is at Loan Terms Selected).
A confirmation modal appears explaining what happens next. Confirm to submit.
The loan status updates and New Silver begins the appraisal process. New Silver sends the appraisal invoice to you, the partner.
For a loan that has already been sent to the borrower, submit it from the Loans list rather than from inside the loan if you have re-opened it to edit.
Paying the appraisal
After the invoice is sent, expand the loan and click Pay Appraisal. Choose who pays:
Borrower — the borrower pays by card in their own portal. If the loan is still Partner only, you first confirm that this sends the loan to the borrower; they then receive the access email and the invoice together.
Self — you pay the appraisal by card yourself, and the loan stays Partner only.
After the appraisal is paid
A soft credit pull runs and the rate and financing amounts are recalculated from the borrower's real credit score — your origination fee is preserved. The borrower then completes their remaining details and document upload, and the loan enters New Silver's standard underwriting process. You can upload documents on the borrower's behalf at any time using Upload Docs — see How to upload underwriting documents on behalf of your borrower.
